We have to hand it to these guys, ‘Flux’ sounds incredible, it’s been awhile since we’ve covered an instrumental on LITN, but it’s for good reason. For us, it’s really challenging to dig through submissions and find something that creatively speaks volume without some sort of imagery from the vocalist. With instrumentals, it’s extremely difficult because it has to tell a story in order to keep us interested—but that’s exactly what DFTCNT did with ‘Flux’.
